Job summary

Windsor Mountain Summer Camp is seeking a Waterfront Director to oversee waterfront safety, organize a team of staff, and schedule activities for campers, while ensuring compliance with industry safety standards.

You will train staff in team building, activity planning, and emergency protocol, including lifeguard certification. This role suits a professional who loves children and thrives in a community-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Prior supervisory experience (not necessarily at a waterfront).
• Must have prior experience as a lifeguard and experience working with children.
• American Red Cross Lifeguard certification or equivalent.
• CPR/AED For The Professional Rescuer.
• First Aid certification.
• Water Safety Instructor Certificate from the American Red Cross or equivalent (or willingness to obtain).
• Must successfully clear FBI and state criminal background checks.
• Ability to stand or walk for long periods; lift up to 40 lbs; push, pull, bend and kneel regularly.
• Ability to work outdoors regardless of weather.

Responsibilities

• Safety & Risk Management: Implement and maintain strict safety protocol for waterfront programs.
• Leadership: Train, supervise, and motivate lifeguard/WSI teams; lead lifeguard training and emergency action plan training; schedule check-ins.
