Job summary

US Water Services Corporation is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform preventive, routine, and corrective maintenance on water and wastewater systems in Hartsville, SC. The role involves troubleshooting pumps, motors, valves, piping, and controls, and working at lift stations and treatment facilities.

You will read manuals, use standard tools, and maintain records while complying with safety policies. A valid driver’s license is required and some emergency after-hours work may be needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in maintenance, utilities, water/wastewater preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with ability to troubleshoot/repair.
• Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and piping systems.
• Experience with pumps, motors, valves, lift stations or wastewater systems preferred.
• Ability to read and understand equipment manuals and diagrams.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to work independently and respond to emergencies.
• Ability to work outdoors and in confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, routine, and corrective maintenance on water and wastewater systems.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain pumps, motors, valves, piping, controls and other equipment.
• Maintain lift stations, pump stations, wells, tanks, and treatment facilities.
• Assist with electrical troubleshooting and basic electrical repairs as permitted.
• Perform basic plumbing repairs and related tasks.
• Inspect equipment to identify maintenance needs and safety concerns.
• Operate hand tools and power tools safely.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records.
• Respond to equipment failures and emergency maintenance as needed.
• Travel between facilities as required.
