MSA Professional Services, Inc in Cedar Rapids, IA is seeking a Project Manager Engineering (Water/Wastewater) to lead municipal and industrial water projects from planning through construction.

You will manage scope, schedule, budget, and client relationships, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and mentor junior staff while advancing the firm’s ESOP-owned culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental or Civil Engineering required.
• Experience with client interaction including council/board meetings required.
• Professional Engineering (PE) strongly preferred.
• 5+ years of Water/Wastewater project experience required.
• Authorization to work in the United States; no sponsorship provided.

Responsibilities

• Lead water and wastewater infrastructure projects for multiple clients.
• Serve as the primary client contact, maintaining clear communication.
• Own project performance including scope, schedule, budget, and risk.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams to deliver projects.
• Develop project plans, scopes, schedules, budgets, and staffing.
• Manage project financial performance and address scope/schedule challenges.
• Provide oversight for plans, specs, bidding, and construction-phase services.
• Mentor and support development of emerging project managers and engineers.
• Support funding and permitting efforts with regulatory specialists.
• Participate in client meetings, public meetings, and board presentations.
• Identify opportunities to expand relationships with existing clients.
