A career‑minded Water/Wastewater engineer is needed to join JMT’s fast‑growing Water/Wastewater consulting practice. The employee will plan, lead, and design projects in the water/wastewater field, applying design criteria, regulatory requirements, standards, and processes. Responsibilities include managing multiple design projects simultaneously, preparing and updating project schedules, documenting critical design elements, and coordinating a design team to meet project requirements and client feedback. The role supports sewershed study and rehabilitation, new sewer design, water distribution, water/wastewater treatment, and pump station projects in the Mid‑Atlantic.
Compensation for this position is $45–55 per hour, commensurate with experience, education, and certifications. The range is a good‑faith estimate based on the job requirements; actual pay may vary.
Work is performed within a general office environment 95% of the time. The job is generally sedentary but may require occasional standing and walking. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. within the office environment. Field work is required on occasion, which may involve working outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, or dry/arid conditions. Some lifting (up to 25 lbs) may be required as needed.
