ETIC is seeking an experienced Principal – Water/Wastewater Engineer to lead the development and expansion of a civil infrastructure practice as part of ETIC's growth initiative in California. This role emphasizes water supply, wastewater, recycled water, stormwater, and utility projects, with client development and leadership responsibilities.

You will shape growth strategies, build a high-performing team, mentor staff, manage budgets, and ensure project delivery to ETIC’s standards.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil engineering or related field and PE registration in California.
Minimum 15 years in engineering consulting with focus on water, wastewater, stormwater, or utility projects.
Minimum 5 years leading or managing a water/wastewater practice or regional operation.
Demonstrated success in client development, strategic growth, and revenue generation.
Strong relationships with California municipalities, utilities, and regulatory agencies.

Responsibilities

Lead strategic development and growth of ETIC’s Water/Wastewater Engineering practice across California.
Develop and maintain relationships with municipal, utility, industrial, and private-sector clients.
Lead pursuits, proposals, interviews, and contract negotiations for complex projects.
Provide executive oversight and technical leadership from planning through design and construction.
Recruit, mentor, and develop staff to support growth and scalability.
