Job summary

HDR invites motivated engineering students to join as Water/Wastewater Interns for Summer 2027. You will gain hands-on experience across water treatment, distribution, and wastewater conveyance projects under senior supervision.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate engineering program, with strong problem-solving and communication skills, and basic Microsoft Office proficiency. Preference for local candidates.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program.
• Possess strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Basic Microsoft Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Gain real-world experience on projects applying standard engineering techniques in water and wastewater treatment, distribution, and conveyance design.
• Assist senior engineers with design calculations, drafting technical reports, project drawings, and specifications.
• Participate in site visits, shop drawing reviews, RFIs, and coordination for projects under construction.
• Support water and sewer studies for federal, state, and local municipalities.
