Job summary

HDR is seeking motivated Water/Wastewater Interns to join our team in 2027 in Louisville, Kentucky. As an internship with an employee-owned firm, you will contribute to planning, design, and delivery of water, wastewater, and site development projects.

You will support construction plans, specifications, cost estimates, and engineering reports, perform calculations, and participate in field investigations, site visits, and construction-phase activities while gaining exposure to diverse tunneling

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Basic Microsoft Office skills.
• Attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the planning, design, and delivery of water, wastewater, and site development projects.
• Support the preparation of construction plans, specifications, cost estimates, and engineering reports.
• Perform engineering calculations and analyses to support design decisions.
• Participate in site visits, field investigations, and construction-phase support activities.
