Job summary

HDR invites applications for a Water/Wastewater Intern in Missouri. The role supports the Water Business Group with real-world engineering tasks, including water treatment, distribution, and wastewater conveyance projects.

You will work under a Project Manager's supervision on calculations, drafting, site visits, and report preparation. Ideal candidates are enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program with strong problem-solving and communication skills, basic MS Office

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program.
• Possess strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Basic Microsoft Office skills.
• An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.

Responsibilities

• Gain real-world experience on exciting projects by applying standard Engineering techniques and procedures.
• Perform assignments under the guidance and direct supervision of a professional or Project Manager to assist with design calculations, drafting technical reports, preparing project drawings and specifications, project site visits, assist in administration of shop drawing review, respond to Request for Information documents, etc.
• Connect with recent college graduates and our company leaders through mentoring and young professionals’ programs.
• Apply standard engineering techniques and procedures.
• Perform other duties as needed.
