Job summary

Wilson & Company, Inc., Engineers & Architects seeks a civil/environmental engineer in Salina, KS to assist in water and wastewater infrastructure design. You will support field investigations, perform design calculations, and contribute to project reports under senior engineers.

Required is a BS in a relevant ABET-accredited program and an EIT certification (FE). 0–4 years of experience with Autodesk or Bentley tools and GIS is a plus; visa sponsorship is not offered.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Civil, Environmental, or Water Resource Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• EIT certification (FE exam) completed.
• 0–4 years of relevant experience, preferably in plan production, design calculations, or technical writing.
• Experience with Autodesk or Bentley design platforms is a plus.
• Experience with Water/Wastewater/Stormwater modeling tools and GIS is a plus.
• Wilson & Company is not sponsoring work visas.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Support field investigations or assessments.
• Perform design engineering calculations.
• Assist in the design of various types of water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure.
• Provide data collection, analysis, and reporting.
• Participate with the writing and the production of project reports.
• Work under the direct guidance and mentorship of senior engineers.

Required Experience

• BS Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or Water Resource Engineering from an EAC/ABET-accredited college or university.
• EIT Certification (i.e., passed Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam).
• 0-4 years of relevant experience, preferably in construction plan production, design calculations, and/or technical writing.
• Knowledge in the use of Autodesk (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil3D) or Bentley (e.g., Microstation, InRoads) design platforms is a plus.
• Experience with commercial engineering modeling software such as WaterCAD, SewerCAD, StormCAD, and USACE HEC programs is a plus.
• Geographical Information Systems (GIS) working experience is a plus.

Annual Salary Range

$70,000 - $90,000
