Job summary

STV, Inc. is seeking a Water/Wastewater Engineer / Assistant Project Manager to join our Water practice in Waco, Texas.

This role is ideal for a licensed Professional Engineer with roughly 6+ years of experience who wants to advance in project management while continuing to contribute technically to municipal water and wastewater projects. You will support planning, design, and delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure, lead design efforts, coordinate with clients and internal teams,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or related Engineering discipline.
• Professional Engineer license in Texas.
• Approximately 6+ years of experience in water/wastewater engineering.
• Experience with municipal water and wastewater infrastructure design.
• Working knowledge of project delivery, design standards, permitting, specifications, and construction documents.
• Strong communication, organization, and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the planning, design, and delivery of municipal water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
• Serve as a technical lead or design engineer on water/wastewater projects, including pipelines, pump stations, and treatment facilities.
• Assist project managers with scope, schedule, budget tracking, staffing coordination, and client communication.
• Prepare and review engineering reports, technical memoranda, construction plans, specifications, cost estimates, and permit applications.
• Coordinate with internal design teams, subconsultants, clients, contractors, and regulators.
• Support quality control reviews and ensure deliverables meet STV standards and client requirements.
• Participate in client meetings and design coordination meetings.
• Assist with construction phase services, including RFIs, submittal reviews, site visits, and field observations.
• Support business development through proposal input and client relations.
