Job summary

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification, or actively preparing for FE exam.
• 2–5 years of civil/environmental engineering experience; water/wastewater exposure preferred.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D or similar design software.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills."

Responsibilities

• Prepare engineering calculations, drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for water and wastewater projects under a PM.
• Support field investigations, inspections, and data collection on active water/wastewater infrastructure.
• Assist in preparing grant and funding program applications (GIGP, DWSRF, CDBG, USDA, etc.).
• Support construction administration tasks, including submittal review and field observations.
• Coordinate with senior engineers on project schedules and deliverables.
• Work toward PE licensure with firm-supported study time and mentorship.

Laberge Group, a 60+ year fixture in New York State municipal engineering, is now part of Artheon and the Trilon Group. We're growing our municipal water and wastewater team here in Albany and looking for an Engineer to take on real project responsibility early, with the mentorship and structure to build toward a PE license.

This role includes a seat in Blueprint, Artheon's early career development program for engineers with 0-4 years of experience. Over six months you'll get structured mentorship, PE exam study support, and exposure to project delivery across our municipal work.
