Job summary

HDR is seeking a Water/wastewater EIT/Designer in Montana. You'll create detailed designs under supervision, prepare plans and write specifications for water and wastewater systems, and collaborate with the Project Engineer and owner.

Preferred qualifications include a Master's degree and an EIT; Bachelor's is required. HDR offers a strong employee-owned culture, comprehensive benefits, and on-site roles in Kalispell, Billings, Helena, and Missoula. This is a full-time Montana position.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
  • Interest or experience designing water/wastewater facilities.
  • AutoCAD and/or MicroStation experience.
  • Microsoft Office experience.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment.
  • Active participant in our employee-owned culture.

Responsibilities

  • Create detailed designs of water and wastewater systems and collection systems under instruction from the Project Engineer.
  • Prepare plans for water and wastewater systems, write specifications, analysis and study-level reports for water and wastewater treatment distribution and collection systems, determine appropriate design methods, equipment sizing and selection, and work directly with the owner.
  • Conduct quality control reviews of completed designs.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

In the role of Water/wastewater EIT/Designer, we'll count on you to:
  • Create detailed designs of water and wastewater treatment systems and collection systems under instruction from the Project Engineer

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate
  • Candidates without their EIT will be placed into a Designer position and will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progression

  • Interest or experience designing water/wastewater treatment facilities
  • AutoCAD and/or MicroStation experience
  • Microsoft Office experience
