Job summary

HDR is seeking a Water/Wastewater Designer/EIT in the United States (Atlanta, GA area). You will create detailed designs for water and wastewater systems under the Project Engineer, aiming to deliver safe water, reliable infrastructure and sustainable solutions. The role emphasizes teamwork within HDR’s employee-owned culture.

Preferred candidates hold a Master’s degree and an EIT certificate, with local candidates prioritized and a path to career progression within the Design team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent field.
• Interest or experience designing water/wastewater facilities.
• AutoCAD and/or MicroStation experience; Microsoft Office experience.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed designs of water and wastewater treatment systems and collection systems under instruction from the Project Engineer.
• Prepare plans, write specifications and study-level reports for water and wastewater systems; determine sizing and selection.
• Conduct quality control reviews of completed designs.
• Perform other duties as needed.
