Job summary

PCL Construction, Inc. in Long Beach, CA is seeking a Commissioning Manager to lead commissioning and startup activities on complex water and wastewater projects. You will coordinate across design, procurement, and field teams to ensure system performance aligns with design intent and schedule goals.

The role requires 3–5 years of hands-on commissioning experience, a strong I&C background, and excellent communication skills. Eligible candidates should be authorized to work in the United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Control Systems Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• 3–5 years of commissioning and startup experience on complex water/wastewater systems.
• Strong background in Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) and systems integration.
• Knowledge of industry codes and standards related to commissioning and validation.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead commissioning and startup activities on water and wastewater projects.
• Develop and implement startup procedures with design and construction teams.
• Oversee system integration and verification testing (I&C, power distribution).
• Act as primary commissioning contact for teams, subs, and clients.
• Troubleshoot issues during startup and turnover; ensure documentation readiness.
