Job summary

Phillips, Inc. seeks an Off-Road Water Truck Operator to support dust suppression and soil stabilization at Houston construction sites. You will operate water trucks, manage spray systems, and perform pre-trip/post-trip inspections to ensure safe, compliant work across uneven terrain.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 1 year of related experience, with willingness to work variable hours and night shifts in dusty environments.”

  • Ability to practice good safety habits and follow site-specific safety protocols.
  • Ability to follow instructions and meet established standards.
  • Ability to accurately judge distances and slopes.
  • Ability to safely operate an off-road water truck.
  • Ability to safely maneuver on uneven, unpaved, or confined job-site terrain.
  • Ability to operate spray bar controls, valves, and pump systems.
  • Ability to conduct pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspections.
  • Ability to maintain equipment and water-usage records.
  • Ability to maintain radio or telephone contact with site supervisors.
  • Ability to work variable hours.
  • Ability to work at night when required.
  • Ability to drive for extended periods.
  • Ability to work in dusty or dirty surroundings.
  • Ability to work in limited extreme heat and cold conditions
  • Ability to work around diesel fuel and similar petroleum products using appropriate PPE
  • Successful completion and clearance of the mandatory pre-employment physical examination

Phillips, Inc. is seeking Off-Road Water Truck Drivers for active construction and job sites in Houston, Texas. Drivers will handle dust suppression, compaction watering, soil stabilization, equipment inspections, and safe operation across uneven terrain. The work may include variable hours, night shifts, and exposure to dusty or extreme conditions. Ideal candidates have related experience and are comfortable operating water truck pumps, valves, and spray systems.
