Job summary

Fremont Economic Development Corp. seeks a maintenance worker to support water treatment plant operations and related facilities in Florence, CO. You will perform semi-skilled tasks, assist in installation and repair, inspect valves, read meters, and contribute to janitorial duties as needed.

The role requires a high school diploma, a Colorado driver’s license, and basic computer skills. Some heavy equipment experience is beneficial.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Valid Colorado driver’s license is required.
• Minimum 1 year experience with Microsoft Word and Excel and general computer knowledge.
• Experience operating heavy equipment is helpful but not required.
• Maintenance and repair of mechanical and electrical systems is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation, repair, and maintenance of the water treatment plant and related equipment.
• Inspect, exercise, and repair all valves.
• Read meters and gauges at treatment plants and reservoirs.
• Perform janitorial and groundskeeping duties at facilities as needed.
• Operate general maintenance equipment and work with various tools.
• Work under supervision of regional water supervisors and senior operators.
