Base pay range: $20.00/hr - $27.00/hr

Hours: Monday – Friday 3pm to 11pm – OT scheduled as needed

Location: Dillon, SC

Start Date: Right Away

Overview

PURPOSE: To operate, monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot the wastewater treatment facility and its processes.

Responsibilities

• Perform all aspects of sampling, monitoring and testing required to maintain compliance with Federal, State and Local regulations governing the wastewater treatment process.
• Perform daily checks of the wastewater treatment system.
• Assist in the performance of regular and unscheduled maintenance and repairs on all plant equipment and machinery.
• Oversee accumulation and shipments of hazardous waste, water sampling, and handling of acids and bases.
• Be on call to respond to emergencies and breakdowns at the facility.
• Maintain open communication with Plant Management regarding the treatment process and make recommendations for repairs and improvements to these systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• South Carolina Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator's Class B Physical / Chemical License required along with a minimum of four (4) years on-the-job training.
• Ability to exercise considerable judgment in planning and performing work where only general methods have been established; must be alert and able to react instantly in emergency situations (e.g., power failure, fire, pump failures). Often works with little supervision.
