Job summary

Thomas Oilfield Services is seeking an HSE Advisor for Water Transfer in Midland, TX to ensure health, safety and environmental compliance across construction, installation, testing and commissioning of water transfer infrastructure.

The role reports to the HSE Manager and emphasizes developing the Safety Management System, training program delivery, and field-level compliance in the Permian Basin division.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of HSE experience in water transfer or oil-gas operations.
• Proficient with Word, Excel, Access; able to chart, graph and use macros.
• Strong knowledge of safety/environmental regulations in water management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel 80–90% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and implementing the Safety Management System for Water Transfer.
• Lead HSE training and ensure compliance for field personnel.
• Prepare, check, transmit, and control HSE documents via the Digital Action Tracking system.
• Support analysis and reporting of HSE KPIs; assist in remediation actions.
• Advise on incident investigations and root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
• Conduct site safety visits and document deficiencies using checklists.
• Observe field crews, coach on best practices, and ensure proper JSA use.
• Conduct environmental/site audits and ensure regulatory compliance.
