Hydromax USA is hiring a Technician Trainee in Birmingham, AL. You will participate in three maintenance programs, collect GPS data, operate and maintain field equipment, and perform hydrant and valve-related tasks as part of a 3-month training path.

The role involves outdoor work in various weather conditions with safety-driven protocols, weekly pay, and opportunities for advancement to Water Technician 1 after meeting expectations.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid driver's license with clean record.
• Pass a comprehensive background check and pre-employment drug screening.
• Eligible to obtain/maintain DOT Medical Certification.
• Physically capable of field work (walking, bending, lifting up to 50 lbs).
• Willing to travel as required, including weekends and some nights.
• Proficient with mobile data collection apps.
• Demonstrate sound safety-conscious decisions for public safety.
• Capable of operating a 4x4 2500 series truck in rough conditions.

Responsibilities

• Accurately collect GPS coordinates for assigned assets.
• Safely operate, maintain, and clean all equipment.
• Gather precise data from inspection points.
• Maintain productivity and discipline during workday.
• Uphold a high driving score as per company policy.
• Follow PPE and work zone safety protocols daily.
• Support effective communication with field managers.
