Job summary

Badger Meter is seeking a Product Management Support professional to work with the Product Manager under the Marketing Manager, helping with lifecycle analytics, pricing, forecasting, and collateral support for municipal water products.

The role covers market analysis, VoC insights, competitive tracking, and collaboration with internal partners to implement plans and improve margins. A four-year degree and 1–3 years of related experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college.
• 1 - 3 years' experience in product management support role.
• Basic financial literacy; can generally understand a P&L and how product decisions impact volume, revenue and margin.
• Advanced skill level in MS Word and MS Outlook
• Intermediate skill level in MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, MS Visio

Responsibilities

• Assist in development of short and long range business plans for the product line consistent with market needs and corporate strategic plans.
• Develop understanding of the assigned product architecture and offerings to answer customer/sales questions and support RFP responses.
• Support and observe customer interviews and synthesize Voice of Customer (VoC) themes; monitor third party research sources for content impacting the product line; participate in win-loss calls.
• Support product life cycle management via tracking of feature release status against plans.
• Coordinate with internal partners to implement plans as directed by the Marketing Manager.
• Assist with product pricing policies based on gross margin objectives and plans for margin improvement.
• Assist in marketing specifications development as appropriate.
• Track competitor activity and prepare competitive analysis for assigned products; support counter strategies.
• Assist in developing product promotional items and collateral to achieve Business Plan objectives for assigned products.
