Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid Kansas drivers license and driving record must meet commercial liability insurance requirements.
• Valid Kansas commercial drivers license required within six months.
• One year Water Treatment/distribution Systems Experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate power drawn pumps and related machinery.
• Troubleshoot problems and maintain department equipment.
• Prepare and maintain proper records and reports.

Skills

General knowledge of mechanics

Ability to operate water testing equipment

Ability to communicate effectively

Intermediate level mathematics skills

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

Class I KDHE Water Operator certification
