Kleinfelder is hiring a Water System Operator for the Elm Creek, Nebraska area. This flex position covers 6-10 hours weekly, with duties spanning pumps, filters, controls, sampling, and reporting to ensure safe water and efficient plant operation.

The role requires living within 50 miles of Elm Creek, a valid driver's license, and a Water License (Class I or higher). You will work 75% in the field and 25% in the office, adhering to procedures and safety rules.

Qualifications

• Must live in Elm Creek, Nebraska or within 50 miles.
• Must possess Class I or higher Water License.
• Must have a Valid Driver's License.
• Field work predominates: about 75% of the time, with 25% office work.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain pumps, motors, and blowers.
• Complete and follow up on work orders and process control monitoring.
• Monitor and record flow meters and system run hours.
• Service and maintain equipment and overall plant.
• Clean sand filters and media filters.
• Monitor, operate, and troubleshoot electrical controls with proper training.
• Collect samples for analysis and maintain chain of custody.
• Log plant operation details and prepare reports.
• Monitor treatment processes and apply standard operational adjustments.
