Job summary

Advocate Health seeks a Water Compliance Specialist to lead ASHRAE 188–compliant programs, document activities in a CMMS, and support regulatory surveys. You will coordinate testing, analyze results, and ensure corrective actions across enterprise sites.

The role requires collaboration with site teams, strong data interpretation, and ability to travel to Wisconsin, Illinois, North Carolina, and Georgia as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific or engineering field is required.
• Minimum 2–5 years of project management, database management, and analytical chemistry or microbiological analysis experience is preferred.
• Experience developing ASHRAE 188–compliant water management programs in healthcare settings is highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Manage ASHRAE 188–compliant water management programs and document with CMMS.
• Support regulatory surveys including inspector interviews and site visits for water management compliance.
• Coordinate bacterial testing and response protocols across enterprise to ensure proper records and corrective actions.
• Analyze water chemistry and biological testing results for cooling towers, boilers, and closed-loop systems.
• Monitor state-mandated water disinfection testing and maintain site policies and safety records.
• Travel to enterprise sites across Wisconsin, Illinois, North Carolina, and Georgia for onsite walkthroughs.
