Job summary

The Doe Run Company is seeking a Water & Sweeper Truck Operator to perform grounds housekeeping at the Buick Resource Recycling Facility in Boss, Missouri. This day shift role requires operating water and sweeper trucks, performing pre-shift inspections, and maintaining equipment to meet safety and environmental standards.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license, and at least one year of water/sweeper truck experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• One year of experience operating a water truck, sweeper truck or equivalent.
• Knowledge of plant layout and traffic routes.
• Knowledge of fueling procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate a truck wash, water truck, and sweeper truck to spread water and sweep grounds.
• Perform pre-shift inspection of truck.
• Perform minor maintenance on equipment, including tightening, lubricating, and cleaning equipment.
• Ensure tire wash is operating properly.
• Fill in as necessary for Yard Equipment Operator; safely operate yard equipment and assist with cleanup.
• Assist in other facility operations when air temperature is below freezing or raining.
• Complete tasks in a safe and environmentally compliant manner by following EHS policies and best practices; report unsafe acts or conditions, incidents, and deviations; provide feedback to support continuous improvement in EHS performance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent, preferred.

Work Environment Physical and Lifting

• Regularly required to wear personal protective equipment, including, but not limited to, a respirator, hearing protection and eyewear. Frequently exposed to vibration and moderate noise level. Occasionally exposed to wet, humid conditions, outdoor weather conditions, and extreme heat.
• Regularly requires sitting, driving, and repetitive movement. Frequently requires grasping and reaching with hands/arms. Occasionally requires feeling attributes of objects. Requires clarity of vision at 20 feet or more, 20 inches or less, three-dimensional vision, the ability to judge distance and spatial relationships, and precise hand-eye coordination.
• Regularly required to lift up to 15 pounds. Frequently required to lift up to 25 pounds. Occasionally required to lift up to 50 pounds.
