Job summary

The City of Bozeman is seeking a Water/Sewer Operator to install, maintain, repair, and replace water and sewer mains, hydrants, and related infrastructure. This entry-to-mid level role supports the city’s water and sewer operations, working a Monday–Friday schedule with potential shift variation.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED.
1–3 years of manual labor or related experience.
Must possess valid Montana CDL Class A with Tanker and Combination endorsements (or ability to obtain within six months).
Experience operating light/medium/heavy equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

Operate and maintain water/sewer mains, services, and valves.
Repair, replace, and install sewer and water infrastructure.
Maintain records of activities and inspections.
Read plans and locate water/sewer lines for worksites.
Respond to citizen questions and provide quality service.
