Job summary

Henry County Public Service Authority is hiring a Water & Sewer Service Technician for the Henry County Service Center in Bassett, VA. This full-time role runs Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.

You will repair and install water and sewer lines, respond to emergencies on an on-call basis (nights and weekends), and work with a safety‑focused crew. Requirements: high school diploma or equivalent; knowledge or aptitude in water/sewer maintenance; ability to work on-call; CDL with Tanker Endorsement

• Ability and willingness to work on-call, including evenings and weekends as needed.

We’re Hiring: Water & Sewer Service Technician

Location: Henry County Service Center, Bassett, VA

Schedule: Full-time | Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM

Salary Minimum: $40,260 - $49,746 annually ($19.35 - $23.92/hour)

What We’re Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Working knowledge (or strong interest and aptitude to learn) in water and sewer system maintenance, repair, and installation.
• Ability and willingness to work on-call, including evenings and weekends as needed.
• Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Tanker Endorsement, or the ability to obtain it within 18 months of hire (training support may be available).
• Someone who is reliable, ready to learn, and comfortable working outdoors in all seasons.
