AE2S is seeking a Water Senior Project Manager in Great Falls, MT. You will lead the water resources team, drive business development, and manage complex projects from planning through design, with emphasis on stormwater and water resources solutions.

The role demands strong client interaction, budgeting discipline, and the ability to mentor junior engineers while delivering innovative water solutions for regional clients.

Water Senior Project Manager - Great Falls, MT

AE2S is seeking a Water Senior Project Manager in Great Falls, MT. We are a fast-paced, team-oriented and technologically advanced engineering consulting firm. Responsibilities
  • Drive business development activities within Minnesota and lead the local water resources team.
  • Perform a variety of team roles within project delivery (project management, QA/QC, and performing) as they relate to stormwater and water resources engineering to deliver innovative water solutions. Examples of project types include urban stormwater management (water quality and flood resiliency) analysis, master planning, and design; FEMA floodplain studies; and water supply reliability planning.
  • Responsible for scope, schedule, budget development, monitoring and adherence for projects managed to provide extreme client services to build lasting relationships.
  • Grow market and technical presence within the region through working with the AE2S team to prioritize client pursuits, build client relationships, provide client management, identify opportunities, and support competitive proposal pursuits.
  • Serve as a technical guidance, senior leadership, and mentor for junior engineers within the Water Resources Practice to empower the team.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering field related to water resources with 15+ years of experience in water resources engineering.
  • Demonstrated experience interfacing with clients and successfully leading or participating in watershed master planning/drainage basin design plans, and floodplain studies and water supply planning.
  • Strong understanding of project financials with a proven track record of successfully completing tasks and projects that are on time and on budget while meeting or exceeding client expectations.
  • Work within multi-discipline projects with the ability to multi-task and effectively manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Strong communication skills with ability to work remotely and collaboratively with clients and project team members.
  • Ability to travel as required for project/client responsibilities and business development.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
  • All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience pursuing and winning water resources projects through the competitive RFP/Q process.
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer in Minnesota or ability to obtain in 6 months.
  • Demonstrated experience using SWMM software for urban stormwater management analysis and HEC-RAS for floodplain analysis.
  • Basic proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and ArcGIS software.
Physical Qualifications
  • Ability to walk up to 3-miles on uneven terrain.
  • Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time.
  • Occasionally climb, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist.
  • Occasionally lift, carry, push, and pull light to moderate amounts of weight.
  • May require lifting and carrying up to 20 pounds, with rare lifting of up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects.
  • May be required to wear Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) including but not limited to, flame resistant clothing, hard hat, and protective footwear.
  • May require occasional evenings and weekends with overtime expectations varying with workload.
  • May be required to travel to off-site locations including occasional overnight stays out of town.
