Job summary

Banyule City Council is seeking enthusiastic Aquatics Education Instructors to join the casual pool of staff. You will work across the week and on weekends, supervising and teaching water safety and swimming skills to program participants and their families.

Essential qualifications include CPR and Swim and Water Safety Teacher qualification, with first aid Level 2 desirable. The role offers a casual load and opportunities for personal development and gym access.

Qualifications

• Experience in Learn to Swim programs is desirable.
• Excellent communication and class management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work with children and be flexible in approach.

Responsibilities

• Supervise classes to ensure participant safety.
• Instruct classes in water safety, survival skills, rescue techniques, stroke technique and correction.
• Develop and maintain professional relationships with participants and parents.
