Job summary

Onsite Solutions in Livonia, MI is hiring a Water Restoration Technician to respond to water damage emergencies at residential and commercial sites across Metro Detroit. You will perform restoration tasks, monitor drying, and document progress.

We provide tools and training in a supportive environment; the role requires strong communication, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and a detail-oriented approach to ensure quality and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
• Experience in maintenance, construction, or related fields preferred.
• Familiarity with power tools and restoration equipment.
• Able to lift and move up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Detail-oriented with ability to meet deadlines and follow procedures.
• Industry certifications and licenses are a plus and may be provided based on performance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and perform water damage restoration tasks, including drying, demolition, and site clean-up.
• Monitor job progress and adjust drying plans based on meter readings and site conditions.
• Complete detailed documentation including notes, photos, and required forms in compliance with company protocols.
• Communicate restoration processes and next steps to customers clearly and professionally.
• Execute water extraction, removal and disposal of non-salvageable materials, and light construction/demolition work as needed.
• Ensure proper handling and maintenance of equipment, tools, supplies, and company vehicles.
• Maintain quality control and ensure all tasks are completed to company standards.
• Conduct final job inspections, obtain customer approval and signatures, and request payments when applicable.
• Participate in a rotating on-call schedule for emergency response.
• Maintain accurate and thorough job documentation—this is critical.
