Job summary

ServiceMASTER, the nation\'s leader in disaster restoration services, is seeking a Water Restoration Technician for the Columbus, Georgia area. You will identify water damage sources, perform extraction, and coordinate with adjusters to restore properties.

The role requires operating restoration equipment, working in extreme temperatures, and being available for after-hours calls. A valid driver\'s license is required; IICRC certification is a plus. We offer paid training and benefits.

Qualifications

• Candidates must communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
• Restoration experience preferred but not required.
• Familiar with equipment used in construction demolition.
• Able to work long hours in extreme temperatures.
• Able to work in environments that have suffered fire, water and wind damage.
• Available for after-hours calls and inclement weather.
• Valid driver\'s license and clean driving record.
• Able to pass a background and drug screening.
• IICRC certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Identify the source of the problem and scope of the water damage.
• Perform water extraction and pack-out of contents.
• Remove and dispose of any non-salvageable flooring that was affected by the water loss.
• Perform light construction demo upon approval.
• Set up air movers and/or dehumidifiers and monitor daily.
• Perform hard surface cleaning.
• Complete paperwork when a new water loss is reported.
• Input and check jobs utilizing the MSM device.
• Support Team Members.
