Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Chicago is seeking a professional in water resources design and analysis. You will be responsible for stormwater management and providing technical guidance to teams. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and at least 5 years of relevant experience. Proficiency in CAD and hydrologic modelling is required. Your Key Responsibilities
  • Stormwater management, drainage, and erosion & sediment control analysis and design tasks for projects and studies, including closed/open drainage systems, environmental site design, ponds, stream restoration, flood studies, and E&SC controls.
  • Provide technical guidance to the Land Development teams in areas of hydrologic, hydraulic, scour, and water quality design and analysis.
  • Independently manage and perform hydrologic and hydraulic design tasks, reports, and studies.
  • Assist in plan development and cost estimation.
  • Maintain adherence to project schedules and milestones.
  • Participate in field work as needed.
Your Capabilities and Credentials
Required
  • Hydrologic and hydraulic modelling experience including but not limited to TR‑55, TR‑20, PC‑SWMM, HEC‑HMS, HEC‑RAS, HydroCAD, or similar. Proficient using CAD programs including AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (i.e., Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint), Adobe, and Bluebeam.

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Civil, Environmental, or Water Resources Engineering from an accredited college or university.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) registration or the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
  • 5+ years’ experience in water resources design and analysis for Land/Civil Site Engineering.

Pay Range
  • Locations in MN, OH, VT, & Various CA, NY Areas – $90,900.00 - $131,800.00 Annually
  • Locations in CO, HI, IL, MD & Various CA, NJ Areas – $100,000.00 - $145,000.00 Annually
Benefits Summary

Temporary/casual employees have access to 401(k) plans, employee stock purchase program, and paid leave, in accordance with state and local law. The benefits information listed above may not apply to union positions because benefits for such positions are governed by applicable collective bargaining agreements.
