Job summary

Stantec in Columbus, OH, seeks an Engineer in Training to contribute to water resources projects including flood protection, stormwater management, and water/wastewater conveyance. You will support civil, environmental, or FABE engineering work while developing technical skills through field data collection, GIS, AutoCAD Civil3D, and report preparation.

Qualifications

Completion of an accredited degree program for Civil, Environmental, or FABE Engineering is required.
Valid driver’s license required
Candidates will be expected to take and pass the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam within one year of hire.
Previous internship or co-op experience is a plus
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Responsibilities

Data processing and management using GIS to support hydrologic and hydraulic modeling
Preparing spreadsheets, graphs, and figures for design reports
Preparing design and construction plans, calculations, specifications, quantity take-offs and construction estimates
Assisting with field work for data collection, site inspections and observations
Building surface models and drafting in AutoCAD Civil3D
Supporting Project Managers with various tasks to advance and track project progress
