Job summary
Florida Department of Environmental Protection seeks a highly skilled Professional Engineer I to support the Mining and Mitigation Program in Tallahassee, FL. This role focuses on technical reviews of mining, reclamation, stormwater, and ERP projects to protect water resources and natural systems.
The incumbent will perform detailed technical analyses, regulatory reviews, site visits, and provide guidance to staff and stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Valid Florida driver license.
- State of Florida Professional Engineer license.
- At least 5 years of verifiable related experience in environmental, civil, hydraulic, agricultural, mining, geotechnical, or water resource engineering.
Responsibilities
- Review mining, reclamation, stormwater, and ERP projects to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Provide technical assistance and regulatory guidance related to mining and mitigation activities.
- Conduct field inspections and technical assessments of mining, reclamation, stormwater, and ERP project sites.
