Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Water Resources EIT in Minnesota to support smaller projects under the guidance of senior engineers. You will evaluate, specify, and engineer basic systems, performing calculations, field tasks, and coordination as needed.

You will assist in hydrologic/hydraulic modeling, civil design, drawings, and reports while collaborating with a project team. A Bachelor’s in Civil/Environmental Eng and an upcoming EIT are expected.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
  • EIT designation or ability to take the EIT exam soon.
  • 0-2 years of experience; Co-op/Internship preferred.
  • Assets: surface water resources, natural resources, soil science, or hydrogeology.

Responsibilities

  • Use knowledge of general concepts of civil engineering elements including system hydraulics, surveying and topographic mapping, geotechnical considerations, grading, utility investigations and analyses.
  • Assist in creation of hydrologic and hydraulic modeling and accompanying geospatial data.
  • Assist team in preparing civil designs, drawings, specifications, presentations and reports.
  • Conduct basic calculations and performs other duties under supervision.
  • May perform field work related to pilot and/or construction activities.
  • Assists in supporting the civil team during construction (submittal reviews, RFIs, contract clarifications).
  • Perform other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned.
