Job Description

AECOM is seeking a highly motivated Water Resources Engineer to join our team in Germantown, MD. The new team member will participate in all aspects of stormwater management and water resources design from initial feasibility investigations to detailed design and hydrologic and hydraulic analysis of solutions.

Work will include a mixture of field work and collaborative design work as part of a team of engineers and scientists. The ideal candidate will add to an experienced team working on all aspects of water resources engineering, with opportunities to participate in design and advanced technical training.

Responsibilities
  • Builds analytic and design skills.
  • Conducts engineering design under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
  • Creates designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
  • Collects and analyzes data under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
  • Uses computer software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems.
  • Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule under supervision.
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelors degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or related degree
  • Relevant work and/or study experience in Water Resources.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred
  • Experience with TR-55, TR-20, and/or HEC-RAS
  • Ability and willingness to travel occasionally, typically within the region
  • Previous internship experience AECOM

Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The range for this position is $75000 to $80000.
