Job summary

J-U-B ENGINEERS, inc. in Palisade, Colorado is seeking an Engineer-in-Training to join our water resources team.

You will coordinate with multidisciplinary design teams on irrigation projects, assist with master planning, hydraulic modeling, and the design of pipelines, canals, pump stations, hydraulic structures, wells, small dams, and storage ponds. The role includes fieldwork, client meetings, proposal preparation, and opportunities for professional growth toward licensure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Water Resources or Environmental Engineering.
• E.I. certificate and progress towards P.E. licensure.
• 0–3 years civil engineering experience with increasing responsibilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with multidisciplinary design teams on irrigation, master planning, hydraulic modeling, pipelines, canals and storage ponds.
• Develop business by assisting with proposals.
• Collaborate with clients, operators, regulators, funding agencies, and contractors on project requirements.
• Attend client meetings and public meetings to discuss project details.
• Perform fieldwork including construction observation and equipment installation.
• Coordinate with staff including P.E.s, E.I.s, drafters, funding team, and observers.

Education

Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Civil, Water Resources, or Environmental Engineering

Engineering Intern (E.I.) certificate

Progress towards Professional Engineer (P.E.) licensure

0–3 years civil engineering experience
