Job summary

The Great Escape and Great Escape Lodge in Town of Queensbury, NY is seeking a Water Treatment Technician to maintain the lodge’s water systems and operate pool and water attractions. You will inspect and clean pools, monitor chemistry (pH, chlorine), and assist with filtration and safety protocols.

This role offers pay of $17.00 per hour, flexible scheduling, paid training, daily pay, and advancement opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must meet minimum age and education requirements.
• Must be able to lift over 50 lbs repeatedly and work flexible shifts.
• Knowledge of pool systems, chemistry, and safety procedures is required.
• Willingness to assist other departments as needed.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and clean pools and water attractions.
• Check water chemistry (pH, chlorine, Saturation Index).
• Clean hair and lint strainers for filters and pumps.
• Pressure wash pool decks and structures.
• Inspect park grates and storage tanks for safety.

The WAter Treatment Technician maintains the water systems throughout the Lodge Indoor Waterpark.

What You Will Be Doing

• Inspect and clean pools and water attractions (includes pop jet pads and pods)


• Check the water chemistry (pH, chlorine level, Saturation Index) of any water attraction or poo


• Clean hair and lint strainers for filter and activity pump


• Pressure wash pool decks, pop jets pad, and water attraction structures


• Inspect grates in the water park


• Visual inspection on Bulk Storage Tanks & Chemical Pumps


• Additional tasks may be assigned at the discretion of the management

What You Will Need

• Must be 18 years old or older


• High School diploma or equivalent.


• A willingness to help other departments as time permits


• Must be able to lift over 50 lbs. repeatedly


• Must be available to work day or evening shift, weekends, and holidays


• Must be able to repeatedly and continuously bend/stoop, reach, lift/carry, push/pull, squat/kneel, and twist


• Knowledge of entire chlorinator system, pool operation, filtering system


• Possess organizational skills


• Possess ability to prioritize and a willingness to train and learn


• Must have the ability multi-task and to work under pressure, while staying calm and professional in all situations


• Ability to have a professional, courteous, and friendly attitude towards guests and co-workers
