Job summary

South East Water is hiring a Process Technician responsible for operating and maintaining water production sites to ensure continuous supply. You will monitor treatments, manage chemical usage, and work with contractors, applying SOPs and health and safety standards.

The role requires flexibility for travel across the supply area, a valid driving licence, and the ability to work in confined spaces. Training and career progression are provided as you increase knowledge and responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Experience of working in process operations
• Medically able to work in confined spaces
• A valid driving licence
• Confident using IT and computers
• Experience in water treatment processes
• Water industry recognised qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor and maintain water treatment processes at production sites to ensure reliable operation
• Control use of chemicals and manage receipt and delivery
• Assist with Confined Space Entry and work with contractors on sites
• Carry out administration for reactive and planned maintenance
• Ensure site cleanliness and security; issue Permits to Work as required
• Participate in standby rota to provide out-of-hours support
