Job summary

Sycamore Gas Company seeks a seasoned supervisor to plan, coordinate, and oversee daily crew activities in water treatment and distribution. You will lead a team, ensure safety and regulatory compliance, and repair equipment as needed.

The role requires experience with pumps, motors, valves, tanks, and piping, plus ADEQ certifications or the ability to obtain them within six months. A valid AZ driver’s license is required, with on-site work in Glendale area.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field and/or equivalent experience in water systems.
• Extensive experience operating, maintaining, repairing, and rebuilding pumps, motors, valves, tanks, piping and related components.
• A demonstrated knowledge of safety practices and regulatory requirements for water treatment facilities.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and oversee daily crew activities and field operations.
• Lead, train, and mentor staff to ensure safety and compliance.
• Collaborate with management to resolve operational issues and support projects.
• Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair water treatment and distribution equipment.
• Install, repair, and maintain water meters and manage shop inventory.
• Oversee facility and grounds to ensure safe, reliable operations.
• Load, unload, transport, store, and handle chemicals and equipment safely.
• Operate tools and testing instruments and ensure calibration and maintenance.
• Monitor chemical feeds and other processes to maintain water quality and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain records of operations, testing, maintenance, and anomalies.
• Participate in 24-hour on-call rotation and overtime as required.
• Adhere to company safety policies and regulatory requirements.
