Job summary

BMS CAT in Raleigh, NC is seeking an experienced water mitigation technician to support emergency response and restoration projects. You will perform high‑quality water mitigation, water extraction, and demolition tasks at residential sites, following drying protocols and safety guidelines.

The role requires physical stamina, ability to lift 50–100 pounds, climb ladders, and participate in on‑call rotations. A valid driver's license is required; IICRC certification is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• IICRC certification preferred, but not required.
• Experience in water mitigation.
• Lift a minimum of 50 pounds regularly, occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance.
• Ability to climb ladders, work at ceiling heights, work in tight spaces (crawl spaces, attics).
• Participate in our on‑call rotation work schedule.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving history.

Responsibilities

• Perform high quality water mitigation services
• Water extraction
• Perform demolition tasks
• Clean up and debris removal of drywall, cabinetry, and flooring that may be damaged
• Place and monitor drying equipment
• Follow company guidelines for proper drying techniques
• Set up the van at the job site using the proper set‑up procedures
• Setting up containment, decontaminating, setting up/monitoring remediation equipment
• Perform job cleanup and breakdown
• Effectively lead a work crew
