Job summary

Rytech of the Midlands in Columbia, SC seeks an experienced Water Mitigation & Fire Restoration Lead Technician to manage field operations and ensure project quality. Ideal candidates hold a WRT certification and have 2+ years in water and fire restoration, with proven leadership and customer service skills.

You will inspect properties, document moisture readings, and supervise cleanup, drying and demolition activities, while coordinating with the team on on-call shifts and maintaining safety

Qualifications

  • WRT Certification required.
  • Minimum two years of water and fire restoration experience.
  • Ability to work independently and lead projects.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • A clean driving record.
  • On-call rotation, including nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage water, fire cleanup, mold remediation, and water mitigation projects.
  • Inspect affected properties and identify the scope/source of damage.
  • Maintain documentation including photos, notes, and moisture readings.
  • Perform demolition, extraction, and structural drying activities.
  • Set up and monitor restoration drying equipment, including air movers and dehumidifiers.
  • Maintain job quality standards.
  • Support team members.

Take the lead on restoration projects that make a difference. Rytech Restoration is seeking an experienced restoration professional to lead water mitigation and fire restoration projects. This Water Mitigation & Fire Restoration Lead Technician position is ideal for a WRT-certified technician who can manage field operations, maintain job quality, and help take ownership of mitigation projects.

Primary Duties
  • Lead and manage water fire cleanup, mold remediation, and water mitigation projects
