This position plays a key role in water meter maintenance and measurement. This position also requires a high degree of walking in outdoor environmental conditions, excellent time management, and exceptional flexibility day to day.What You'll DoWater Meter Maintenance:Perform visual inspections of water service for leaksIdentify hazards at meter sites and report accordinglyProperly change out water meters of varying sizes and brandsProperly change out water meter registers for AMI/AMR upgradeWater Meter Reading:Read water metersEnter data collected in the field into a handheld computerAssist on additional projects, as necessaryCustomer Communication:Refer all consumer complaints to the appropriate authoritiesProvide general information about the meter services to customers, when applicableUse telephones, tablets, and/or computers to communicateOther duties as assigned.About YouMust Haves:Education: None.
