Job summary

MatWorks in Dalton, GA is seeking a Water Jet Operator to maintain and operate the water jet system. The role requires mechanical aptitude and experience with CAD/CAM, Ward Jet, and IKHULU software, plus welding and forklift operation. The operator will verify path files against drawings, assist drafters, and perform routine maintenance.

Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs. Responsibilities include setting up the machine, loading drawings, inspecting safety measures, and rebuilding water jet

Qualifications

• Good mechanical aptitude and welding experience.
• Experience with CAD/CAM, Ward Jet, and IKHULU software.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain water jet machinery.
• Verify path files against drawings before cutting material.
• Assist drafters with production of drawing files as needed.
• Load drawings from flash drive using Flow Cut software.
• Rebuild water jet components (e.g., intensifier, valves, cutting heads) as needed.
• Submit daily inventory of consumables.
