Job summary
Stantec is seeking a Structural Engineer to join the Water-US Delivery team in Lexington/Atlanta. You will work under supervision on several projects, performing analyses, calculations, and drawings for hydraulic, environmental and related facilities.
You will design reinforced concrete, masonry, and steel structures, coordinate with internal staff and external consultants, and help ensure on-time project delivery while adhering to codes and standards. A PE license is highly preferred.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering is required; PE preferred in the US.
- Strong knowledge of structural design codes and local regulations.
- Experience with hydraulic and water-related structures is a plus.
- Ability to manage time, budgets and schedules across projects.
- Proven mentoring capability for junior staff.
Responsibilities
- Perform preliminary and detailed structural analysis and design for water and wastewater facilities and related structures.
- Analyze, design, and specify reinforced concrete, masonry and steel systems.
- Develop design drawings, calculations, and construction documents.
- Lead and coordinate design efforts, client interactions, and staff assignments.
- Prepare and revise project specifications and technical reports.
- Review shop drawings and respond to RFIs with engineering solutions.
