Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering from ABET accredited college or university.
• Master’s Degree or other advanced specialty certification desirable.
• Engineering in Training Certificate (EIT) desirable or Professional Engineering License (PE) in California preferred.
• Project management professional (PMP) certification desirable.
• Minimum of two years' experience in design and management of water distribution or treatment system projects or related field.

Responsibilities

• Plan and design capital projects per Cal Water standards and specifications.
• Oversee construction progress, change orders, invoices, inspections, and RFIs.
• Coordinate with districts for permits and scheduling of proposed work and projects.
• Prepare permit submittals and communicate with permitting agencies.
• Prepare and review bid specifications.
• Review drawings and assist in preparing drawings for infrastructure improvements.
• Develop and monitor scope, schedule, and budget for assigned projects.
• Monitor project costs using company financial software.
• Assist in planning capital budgets and PUC filings including cost estimation and justification.
