Job summary

Kimley-Horn is seeking an Engineering graduate with 1+ year of experience to join our Water/Wastewater team in Sherman, Texas. This non-remote role focuses on designing water transmission systems, treatment facilities, and related infrastructure, supported by mentorship and practical training.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, contribute to project plans, and ensure quality while meeting deadlines for municipal water and wastewater utilities.

Qualifications

• 1+ years experience with a civil engineering design firm.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree from an ABET-accredited university in Civil Engineering.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
• Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines.
• Detail-oriented with ability to contribute to a positive work environment.
• Ability to work independently and as a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing water transmission and distribution systems, pumping stations, conveyance systems, and water treatment facilities.
• Contribute to a variety of municipal water and wastewater utility designs.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to complete projects on time and to quality standards.
• Maintain high-quality sets of plans and check the work of others.
