Job summary

University of Nottingham seeks a Water Feature Technician to maintain lakes, ponds and water features across campus. You will handle water treatment equipment, balance chemical levels and supervise safety of electrical installations within plant pits.

You should have NVQ2 or City & Guilds Level 2 in Amenity Horticulture Grounds Practices or equivalent, a full driving license, and prior grounds maintenance experience with water features.

Qualifications

• NVQ 2 or City & Guilds Level 2 in Amenity Horticulture Grounds Practices or equivalent.
• Full, current driving license.
• Experience with ornamental water features including lakes and ponds.

Responsibilities

• Maintain lakes, ponds and ornamental water features.
• Carry out leaf collection and spraying around water features.
• Water feature plant maintenance and balancing of water treatment and pump systems.
• Record and monitor data of water and chemical levels; adjust computer systems as needed.
