Location

This role will be is a hybrid working or remote working opportunity, either based out of their site offices in Minnesota or working remotely with occasional travel into the office.

The Role & Responsibilities

In the role of Water/Wastewater Engineer, will focus on the successful design of Water and Wastewater related infrastructure & structural projects, both locally and nationally.

As the Engineer, you will be focused on leading design efforts concentrated on the infrastructure and structural aspects of both water and wastewater related projects. Such projects will include pump stations, stormwater systems, water collection & distribution systems as well as storage facilities, treatment plant upgrades and other wastewater infrastructure projects.

You will play a key role in the design engineering and construction of Water/Wastewater projects, overseeing the full project lifecycle of each project, from the initial design, permitting, report writing and the detailed engineering specifications and plans.

  • As the Engineer with the Water/Wastewater team, you will be responsible for the project design engineering and construction of Water/Wastewater infrastructure and structural related projects.
  • Undertake the development of drawing, specifications, cost estimates, project reports and bid packages.
  • Create design calculations, permitting documents, engineering plans as well as ensuring industry standards and codes are met.
  • Working closely with senior management and fellow colleagues to ensure projects are delivered on time and to schedule.

Requirements\Qualifications

  • Educated with a Bachelor of Science in a related field.
  • E.I.T Certified – as a minimum requirement. P.E would be a bonus.
  • Experience in the structural engineering of Water/Wastewater projects in the USA including planning, design, and construction.
  • Demonstrable and substantial experience on pump stations, stormwater systems, water collection & distribution systems as well as storage facilities, treatment plant upgrades and other wastewater infrastructure projects.
  • Understanding and knowledge of building codes and standards including ACI & IBC.
  • Ability to use software packages including AutoCAD, Revit and other structural software applications including STAAD Pro
