Job summary

T&M Associates is seeking a Staff Engineer 2 to join our Water Market in Bethlehem, PA. The role focuses on design assistance for WWTP upgrades, sewer and waterline extensions for municipal clients, with opportunities to work on diverse water and wastewater projects.

The position offers exposure to design calculations, field inspections, and coordination with regulatory agencies, within a collaborative consulting environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of related experience in water/wastewater engineering.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification preferred, with the goal of obtaining a Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Strong analytical, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the design and development of water and wastewater treatment facility projects.
• Provide project design assistance for WWTP upgrades, sewer system extensions, and waterline extensions.
• Prepare plans, design calculations, technical reports, and construction documents.
• Assist with permitting, construction management, and coordination with regulatory agencies.
• Conduct field inspections, condition assessments, and site visits as required.
• Collaborate with project managers and senior staff across multi-disciplinary teams.
• Ensure all work is performed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with client and regulatory standards.
