City of Las Cruces Government seeks an administrative associate to support the Water Conservation Program, delivering professional customer service and coordination for rebate and incentive processes. You will help educate residents on water efficiency and maintain data reports across multiple customer sectors.
You will work with the Water Conservation Coordinator to monitor usage, enforce ordinances, and prepare routine and special reports.
Provides customer service, support, and assistance for the Water Conservation Program within the City. Facilitates the implementation of water conservation measures to improve water use efficiency and assists in educating and supporting the community through various outreach venues.
Position works indoors in an office setting and outside in all types of weather conditions and may be exposed to animals, insects, traffic hazards, dust and noise.
Position requires visual acuity sufficient to comprehend written work instructions, technical documents and diagrams; manual dexterity to operate standard office equipment, including a personal computer or operating a vehicle.
Position involves competing demands, performing multiple tasks, working to deadlines, work beyond normal business hours, working on holidays, weekends, nights, overtime and standby status and responding to customer issues. Regular attendance is an essential function of this job to ensure continuity of services. High profile position requires extensive interaction with external customers such as elected officials, state officials, and the media. Position is subject to drug testing in accordance with applicable State and Federal regulations and City of Las Cruces policies.

High School Diploma or GED. One (1) year of experience performing customer service functions preferably in a municipal setting.A combination of education, experience, and training may be applied in accordance with City of Las Cruces policy.
Licenses/Certification(s)
Valid driver's license is required. Position requires an acceptable driving record in accordance with City of Las Cruces policies.
